Welcome to
Crohns Career Mom

My name is Emma and I’m a married mom of two beautiful children (3 and 8 years old), holding down a full time professional career and have recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease.

I’ve created this blog for all the warriors out there suffering from a chronic illness, individuals trying to manage or build a career, and may have the challenges of balancing a family or children too!

Although I’ll be talking specifically about my illness, Crohn’s and more recently Lupus, I hope that by sharing my journey with others, we can learn how to manage, accept and embrace whatever challenges we may be experiencing – to enjoy life!

I hope that this will be my personal and frank account of daily life (not for the faint hearted!), as well as sharing particular topics with you, including being a professional and holding down a career and job with a chronic illness, mental health, medication, managing finances and most importantly being a mom with IBD (Infammatory Bowel Disease). I don’t necessarily have all the answers as I’m just at the beginning of my journey but hope that this blog at least raises awareness of Crohn’s, Lupus, IBD and what it’s like to have a hidden illness. I hope that you will come on this journey with me 😊
